Analyze the business, not paralyze you.

You scanned the code. Here it is: 30 minutes with Adam Oblath, and a straight answer about what your reporting actually needs.

  • Map every system your data lives in
  • Size what you actually need
  • Compare options and what they cost to run
  • Lock down who sees which jobs, by row

No prep. No pitch deck. No access to your systems.

Bridge to a data plan

Tell us a little about your setup and we'll send times that work.

30 minutes on the calendar, and that's the whole commitment. We don't sell or share your address.

Sound familiar?

If this is where your numbers come from, the call is for you.

Data lakes solve big data problems. Yours is simpler: numbers you can trust, every month.

What happens on the call

Four things, inside 30 minutes.

Not a discovery call, and not a demo. Four questions that decide everything downstream, answered while you're on the phone.

Map every system your data lives in

Accounting, project management, payroll, the field app, the spreadsheet on somebody's desktop. We list them and note which one is the source of truth when two of them disagree.

Size what you actually need

How much data you really have, how often it has to refresh, and how many people need to see it. Get this wrong and you buy a platform for a problem you don't have.

Compare options and what they cost to run

Not the license price. What it costs to keep the thing correct every month, including what happens when the person who built it leaves.

Lock down who sees which jobs, by row

Row-level security in plain terms. Which PM sees which jobs, which division sees which margins, and what it takes to actually enforce it.

What you leave with

Next steps you can act on yourself, including the ones that don't involve us.

Before you book

The short answers.

Is this a sales call?

There's no pitch deck and no demo. You get what we'd do, what it would cost to keep running, and which parts you can handle in-house. If none of it involves us, that's a fine outcome.

What do I need to prepare?

Nothing. Bring a rough idea of what systems you run on. If you're not sure, that's one of the things we sort out on the call.

Do you need access to our systems?

No. It's a conversation, not an audit. Nothing gets connected and nothing gets exported.

Who should be on it?

Whoever owns the numbers, and whoever built the reports. Usually that's the CFO or controller plus one person from IT. Coming alone is fine too.

We already have Power BI. Is this still worth 30 minutes?

That's the most common starting point. The question is rarely whether the reports exist. It's whether they stay correct, and who keeps them that way once the person who built them moves on.

Not ready for a call?

Start with the WIP.

The data plan is the longer road. If what you need this month is a cleaner month-end, take the template instead. It's free, it's one page, and nobody calls you about it.

Your WIP is the earliest honest read you get on the year, but only if you can trust it.
